Vnimanie CAF Russia is implementing the «Vnimanie» programme aimed at providing help and support to Russian children with ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder). This is the most common behavioral disorder (the prevalence data vary from 3 to 7% of child and adolescent population).
Children with ADHD need comprehensive psychological, educational, and medical assistance. Though ADHD is recognized as a neuropsychiatric disorder by specialists in all developed countries, there are problems with ADHD diagnostics and treatment in Russia. Therefore, the programme aims to raise awareness of psychologists, educators and health workers of the problems associated with ADHD, as well as to work with parents and, more importantly, to provide care and support to as many children and teenagers in need as possible.
