The Foundation School

The programme «Foundation School» was developed and is implemented by CAF in cooperation with Philanthropy Bridge Foundation (PBF, UK).

Private philanthropy in the «new» Russia has been actively developing since the mid 1990s. In addition to implementing the good will of the founder, a private foundation must effectively manage the trusted funds to achieve its social goals. Philanthropy has only recently become a professional field of activity in our country. However, Europe and North America have substantial experience in private and family philanthropy, and the tradition of philanthropy dates back several centuries there.

According to the mission of CAF Russia, its main purpose is to create the conditions for development of philanthropy in Russia utilizing the successful foreign and domestic experience. Foundation School is a unique course designed to fill the information gap and provide professional training to the staff of private foundations in Russia.
